Welcome to the SDSU Library WordPress Multisite

For Academic Affairs departments and faculty seeking web hosting solutions, WPMS is available to meet your needs. Information regarding free student web hosting can be accessed through resources such as What’s the Host and Quora.

If you require a website, WPMS provides a comprehensive solution. We handle the backend management, allowing you to concentrate solely on creating and managing your content effectively.

What does WPMS offer?

Experience accessibility with our ATI (Accessibility Technology Initiative) compliant template, adorned with SDSU branding to ensure compliance. Enjoy the security you deserve with forced HTTPS integration.

With us, backend maintenance is our responsibility. Say goodbye to update requirements, backups, spam, or security concerns—we’ve got you covered.

Guidelines

Please refrain from providing or soliciting personal information or protected data, including but not limited to Social Security numbers, credit card numbers, driver’s license numbers, employee IDs, Red IDs, Black IDs, passwords, birthdates, addresses, schedules, grades, transcripts, gender, race, ethnicity, marital status, photographs, etc. It is imperative to maintain compliance with FERPA regulations and SDSU’s Data Classification and Handling Policies. The library does not assume responsibility for securing such information.

Avoid promoting businesses, selling products or services, or displaying advertisements. There should be no commerce or payment portals on your website.

Do not gather email addresses, maintain email lists, or engage in mass emailing.

Refrain from uploading large files for download, such as file repositories. WPMS is not intended for this purpose. Please refer to our article on Uploading Large Files for further guidance.

While we provide an ATI compliant template, it remains your responsibility to ensure that your content complies with ADA section 508 web-based accessibility guidelines, such as by including ALT text for your images.

When accessing backend editor features (logged-in areas) from off-campus locations, you must connect to the SDSU VPN.
